Step 1

[lo res - 67 K][high res - 397 K]
If an operator has to pull the ejection handle more than once to make a shell eject then dirt is building up inside the chamber. Attach the chamber cleaning brush (R003) to a drill. Spray a non-petroleum solvent (such as electric contact cleaner) on the brush and in the chamber. Run the brush in the chamber for 4-5 minutes to clean. If cleaning the chamber with the cleaning brush does not solve the ejection problem, or if a shell ejects after a hesitation, then the tool should be completely disassembled, cleaned and reassembled. If misfires begin to occur more frequently, the breech block assembly should be removed and the firing pin (W10004) cleaned.

Step 2

[lo res - 52 K][high res - 317 K]
If the gun should ever go off when moving the operating handle (W10018), the sear (W10006) in the breech block (W10003) is worn or the edge of the firing pin (W10004) is worn. The sear (W10006) and the firing pin (W10004) should be replaced with new parts.
