Winchester® and White Flyer® Celebrate the 10th National Shooting Sports Month
CLAYTON, MO (July 28, 2026) — As leaders in the hunting and shooting sports industry, Winchester Ammunition and White Flyer Targets continue as strong supporters of National Shooting Sports Month. More than 50 million people participate in the shooting sports each year, making it one of the most popular recreational activities in the United States.
Throughout August, National Shooting Sports Month, there are several promotions taking place at the Winchester Handgun and Trap & Skeet facilities in East Alton, Ill., as well as NILO (the Winchester Hunting and Shooting Sports Facility) located in Brighton, Ill.
August, 2026—Shooting Sports Month Promotions
Winchester Handgun Facility
- A 40-shot derby will be held each week on Thursdays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, as well as giveaways throughout the month.
Winchester Trap & Skeet Facility
- A target derby will take place each week on Wednesdays, targets include skeet, rabbit, wobble trap and 5-stand.
- A 5-stand summer shooting league will take place on Mondays, starting on August 17.
- Starting the first week of August, there will be a Monday .410 skeet league each week during normal open hours this league will run for 10 weeks. The final shoot is October 26
- There will be crusher target prizes and giveaways at the end of the month.
NILO®
- All shooters who visit during the month of August will receive a $10 coupon towards a second visit, which can be redeemed on sporting clays or a hunt.
- At the end of August, there will be a drawing that includes two separate cases of AA shotshells, and two separate free rounds of sporting clays for a total of four prize winners.
