Ron Spomer has journeyed east to central Missouri to level his rifle at some of the largest free-ranging whitetails in the country. Unlike western hunting, where glassing is about panoramas and vistas, these eastern hardwood forests will require all of Spomer’s attention to detail. Famed for record bucks, central Missouri also represents a special challenge for veteran whitetail hunter Spomer, who is still-hunting through a forest floor littered with dry leaves. Ron will need to get aggressive and think outside the box if he plans on conquering the hardwoods close to these wary bucks.
