Winchester Introduces Blind Side2 Waterfowl Ammunition The Hex Shot Evolution

EAST ALTON, IL (January 19, 2022) – Winchester Ammunition is once again pushing the limits of technology to introduce a new and improved shotshell for waterfowl hunting.

Blind Side® 2 (like its predecessor) utilizes hex-shaped shot, but is differentiated with a nickel-plated head and the Drylok wad system.
Taking Blind Side 2 to the next level, however is the new Hex shot, which is more rounded and aerodynamic for improved downrange energy and tighter patterns.While the rounded edges improve in-flight characteristics, the six flat faces on each pellet offer increased lethality over traditional round shot through a tumbling action upon impact which more effectively transfers energy to the target.


An additional product enhancement that helps Blind Side 2 stand out against the competition is the Winchester patented Drylok wad system. As the name implies, waterfowl are typically around water which doesn’t mix well with gun powder. Winchester developed the patented Drylok wad system to keep moisture out for reliable ignition in any circumstance.

The nickel-plated head is more than just an aesthetic touch. Plating provides corrosion resistance for smoother and more reliable feeding and extraction despite the damp conditions often found within blind bags and waterfowl jackets.
