John Olin – a Significant Part of Winchester History by Ron Spomer and Ashley Hlebinsky
A John Olin owned Western Powder Company. Mr. Olin went on to acquire Winchester Firearms. He combined these two companies into what we know today as Winchester - both ammo and guns.
Many of Mr. Olin’s personal guns are kept at the Cody Firearms Museum in Cody, WY. If you’re traveling through that area, make certain to stop in – you will not be disappointed.
